Additional Support

A key part of Educ8’s ethos is to tackle and overcome barriers to learning. The staff team at Educ8 hold the safeguarding and welfare of learners of paramount importance, and as part of our on-going work and support, will always endeavour to provide the holistic intervention necessary to enable to progress and achievement.

As well as the teaching and coaching support, Educ8 staff are regularly involved in assisting students in a variety of contexts. These additional support services include:

  • Hosting examinations at Educ8
  • Strategies to improve and manage behaviour
  • College applications supported by staff from Leeds City College
  • Preparation for employment including interview practice, support for applications, CV writing etc
  • Signposting to other agencies, volunteering opportunities and links with local businesses and organisations
  • Time management support
  • Presentation skills
  • Personal advice in areas such as independent living, housing needs, and lifestyle factors
  • Educ8 attendance and input to CAF and other support agencies
  • Support and input back in host schools
  • Weekly feedback to both schools and parents
